12 week post, should check PCR?

by alijee, Jun 12, 2009 09:33PM
im 12 weeks post tx. i have heard that 12 weeks post tx UND is also being considered equal to 24 weeksSVR. Is it right?? if yes, then i will check my PCR early.

And what is the exact time to declare SVR?  24 weeks or 6 months?. there is difference of 14 days between 24 week and 6 months as:-
24 week =  24x 7  = 168 days
6 mnths =   6x30   = 180 days.

I don't know the exact figure but there is a very high correlation between UND at 12 weeks post and SVR.

It is 24 weeks, I mean the longer.
I see no reason why not to test at 12 weeks post tx, it is not a must but I would do that.
I wish you all the best.

My trial doc told me that he thinks 12 weeks is a very important signal.  My trial is doing EOT visit, 4th week post-EOT and then I think 6 mos.  I plan to do a 12 week on my own.

The boceprevir trial is doing 4, 12, 24 wk PCR's and I think several later ones to ensure that 28 wk. TX patients stayed clear (not a question for 48wk. patients).
