12 weeks Un-detectable

12 weeks Un-detectable

48 yr old female, diagnosed August 2003 viral load 644000 - Genotype IB, 12 week test un-detectable.  PegIntron/Ribavirin. I missed one dose of Riba. (I had flu-like symptoms and left work early - 3:30pm and went straight to bed when I got home -  I usually take my pills at 4:00pm).  Sx have been minimal (anemia.). I am working every day and riding my horses. I know I have a long way to go but I remain optimistic for myself and all of you fighting this virus.
I am very happy to share this info with you all and hope those of you considering treatment will be encouraged.
Sincerest thanks to all for the help and information you so willingly share here.
Sending positive thought waves to all..
Have a great weekend:)

Lookin Good! For a 1b to clear by 12 weeks is a VERY encouraging sign.
Missing a single dose of the Riba is usually not that big of a deal. Where we get into trouble is when it happens too many times or if someone tries to "make it up". Since you were sleeping through it also helps cuz you're not drinking the fluids and peeing it all out either.....so what was in your system when you fell asleep stayed there.
You're doin fine.
I WAS a type 1b. Sure.....it's rough for us.....but it CAN be done. At 1+ yr post tx I am happy, healthy, and feel better than I have in Years! I have NO lingering sides and my general attitude has greatly improved.
Being clear at 12 weeks has just given your "odds" a big kick in the pants. Set your "cruise control" now and keep on truckin.
Congrats..........

I'm very happy for you.  I'm also a 1b genotype and it's a tough one.  That is a very good response and it bodes well for your eventual SVR.  God Bless,  Dave

Isn't that a beautiful word....undetectable??!!!  I'm so happy for you!!!!  Now, at 24 weeks, when you hear those great words again,  I will PTL & do alittle jig for ya with all the energy I can muster!
I was undetectable (1a, pegintron/rebetol) at 12 and 24...got 8 of 48 to go.  It's funny, looking back, it doesn't seem that long ago I started tx --- or --- it could be the fact that I'm 50 with brain fog.  Hummmmm.

Congrats to you - you've got reason to celebrate!
A big YIPPEEE from Lookin' up!
