3 months post treatment - undectected

Hello all,

Sorry I have not been on for awhile, our computer died at home and I'm hesitant to go on at my workplace.  As many of you know my partner has genotype 3 stage 3/4 early cirrohsis.  He did 24 weeks of treatment.  We just got the 3 month tests back and he is still undectedted and his liver enzymes have normailized. ....keeping our fingers crossed for the next 3 months.  But hey its a good start........

Not really a surprise give his great early response. 6 month test is just a bout a mere formality.

Good news! I agree with FlGuy; very few relapses occur after 3 months. Let us know when it's official!

Week 12 follow-up:
Week 12 response had a positive predictive value of 99.7% for predicting Week 24 SVR.

The researchers concluded that assessment of serum HCV RNA 12 weeks after the end of treatment using a highly sensitive TMA assay "is as relevant as after 24 weeks to predict SVR and make decisions on the management of treated patients, suggesting a new definition for SVR."
