Thanks Nyg, Za, HCv and comeagain.
We got this comeagain...fingers are crossed, when did you finish tx ?
I know hcv can be accompanied by normal liver enzymes...but anyone know if enzymes can stay the same when relapse occurs after eot. Or do they always at least rise just a little upon relapse ?
apache
Hi apache good news its about the same alt as I had 4 weeks post tx I had 15.7 at EOT they were a bit higher and before tx much higher.
They wont give me any LFT tests until week 12 and not a pcr until week 24 unless my alt starts to sky rocket then I´ll get a PCR asap so I´m told.
I´m gonna take LFT else where at week 8 especially since another member told me today that her alt numbers went from 13 EOT to 38 4 weeks post and from there to 116 8 weeks post. That was when she relapsed at a mono therapy long time ago.
I also may pay for a pcr at 12 weeks since its my believe if clear then and not having cirrhosis i´m cured.
Good luck lets keep our fingers crossed that we both gonna make it!!

Remember most relapses occur within 2 weeks from EOT. I bet the liver enzymes also start rising by then in those cases.
Couldn't look better in my opinion. SVR - here we come! You certainly are on the right track, and with AST greater than ALT which is a sign of no present hep C infection.
Having all my fingers crossed that you will continue like this,
Za
If they continue to fall post treatment then fine.
The reference range for 'normal' alt and ast is rather generous-low is good.
A rise in alt or ast post treatment has a caused a lot of people to panic.A small increase is not significant,a significant flare may be.
You can say you dont want to know your LFT results till you get the first post treatment PCR.
Sounds like you got it made to me!
Dont sweat them if they go up (unless they go up drastically!) liver enzymes bounce up and down and all around. They should probably stay in the "normal" range though.
Once my enzymes went up a bit (by like ten points) and I scheduled an EMERGENCY appt with my doc. Drove like a madman and almost wiped out a whole herd of little old ladies. Well my doc laughed so hard at me that he almost cried...............and I realized how obsessive we get and how easy it is to over react.
Just chill and get that 4 week PCR and try not to think about it until then. It's not easy but the only thing you can really do.
