4 Weeks Post Tx: There IS light at the end of the tunnel, my friends.

by WestCoastGal, May 05, 2003 12:00AM
--Just a quick post since nearly everyone on treatment suffers
from low WBC & RBC counts:    I got the results of my
first post-tx labwork today, and my WBC has already come up to
3.4 from 1.5 which is where it hovered all during my 24 wk     pegintron/rebetrol treatment.

The RBC, Hemoglobin & Hematocrit counts have risen only slightly, which gives more credibility to the philosophy that the interferon leaves the body  more quickly than the ribavirin......

--I'm actually feeling like a human being this week-whatta concept!  ;-)    My best to all.....
