4 weeks post tx joint pain

I have been having a great amount of pain, stiffness, and swelling in all my joints, including shouldes, knees, feet, etc.  They tested my uric acid levels and the rheumatoid factor something, which came back in the normal range. my hands are also swelling in the morning. Anybody have any suggestions or words of encouragement?

P.s. und at 4, 12, 24, ct, INC, tx naive, 1/1, vl 781,000 at start.

Thank you for any help!

Jilly

One big positive is that I have 10 times the energy that I had prior to treatment. My liver was 1/1 so didn't think it could possibly be affecting my energy to that degree, but from where I am now, boy, what a difference!

I still have waves of nausea, but still able to eat. Have been trying to eat as much fresh fruits and vegetables, with whole grains, etc for protein. Doing what I can to help my body detox all the drugs in me. I read something online that said it helps with arthritis so figured it wouldn't hurt to try. Am also walking a bit daily and some basic exercises to get muscle strength back up. Am I missing something? I am really trying....oh, and lots of water still!

I had this type of pain and swelling before treatment . They had Dx with RA but then the Docs said it was from the hep c. Who knows I am still doing treatment. I was hoping that this would get better after tX . Hopefully your will get better have you been eating

Hi Jilly: So sorry to hear this problem is surfacing.

I never experienced joint pain like you described so I cannot share with you my personal experience.

I've read the flu-like symptoms associated with pegylated interferon can cause joint pain. I also read an infection can cause joint pain.

When I got an infection during treatment (bacterial bronchitis) my WBC's actually went UP a little while my body was trying to fight the infection. How are your WBCs treading? V/r, GB
