4 wks. Post TX itch

by whybabe, Jan 25, 2003 12:00AM
I'm 4 wks. post TX and started itching at night about 2 wks. ago.  It distrubs my sleep and is making me crazy!!!!  I took Trazadone to help me sleep while on TX and it worked, but with the itch, now it dosen't work.  I tried Vistril last night and slept alnight (YIPPEEE).  While on TX I had the crawley, untouchable skin, but not like I'm having now (but only at night). Before I stopped TX my nurse said to keep drinking the same amount of fluids as I had on TX, well I'm sick of 2 gallons of fluids per day....so I have been bad and am only drinking about a gallon a day...also, I have added 1-2 cups of coffee each morning (it tastes soooo good) and I tank up afterwards.  Could this itch be due to dehydration or just another lovely side of TX?  I have been out of town (hubby and I went to CO to celebrate end of TX)and haven't talk to doc, will most likely call on Monday.  ALso, tried a product called Sarna Anti-Icth Cream (menthol & camphor)and it helps somewhat.  Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Deb
