4WK Viral Load: UNDETECTED

I don't post frequently, but i wanted to share with the community that the results of my 4wk blood tests came in, and the nurse at my GI's office says that the viral load came back as UNDETECTED. I am extremely excited, and very relieved. I started Incivek Triple therapy on 1/11/12, but this is my second go around for the Interferon/Ribavirin portion of the treatment: I was only a partial responder the first time around(in 1999) and I was very fearful that I would not be cured this time, either. I realize that RVR doesn't guarantee SVR, but from what I've read, RVR means my chances are better for SVR.

I felt strongly about sharing this here, because I scan the forums everyday for people like me, null or partial previous responders, who are clearing the virus on the triple therapy. When I read about 'undetected' results, it always gives me hope. So, people, take heart!

Also, I have a question. I wanted to fill out my baseline numbers for the HCV tracker here at Medhelp. According to my first blood test in October 2011, my viral load was 425,000 iu/ml. However, the HCV tracking chart for the viral load only lets me chose a number from 1-100. How do I convert my numbers to numbers that I can put into the HCV tracker?

Thanks!

First, congratulations on being undetected at 4 weeks. That is wonderful news.

Second, try putting 0.425 into the space for viral load. It wants millions, so if you put in 0.425 it should come out right.

Woot! Certainly is good news. Like you I am always encouraged by partial responders and relapser's reporting UND early. Good luck.
