5 weeks POST tx PCR result and a question please !

Hello there :)

I received this week my 5 weeks post tx PCR result  and I`m still UND :) Thanks you God for this :)

Unfortunately, 2 or 3 months ago, my fathers bloods test was positive for hep B. And I want to get immunised for Hep A and B. I know that it`s a shot for that, TWINRIX or somethink like that. Do I must to wait 6 months POST tx?
I am now almoust 8 weeks post tx. Do you think that I can have the shot for Heb B right now? Or I must to wait 6 months post Tx? What do you think?

I know that I must to have shot, after one months another one, and after 6 months another one.
Can I get immunised faster? For example one shot now, one shot 7 days after , and the 3rd one 21-30 days after that.

Any advices will be apreciated.

Thanks a lot !

You can even have the A/B during treatment.  Get vaccinated for A/B anytime.

Get the hep A and B shots now (unless you already have the antibodies - has this been checked?) And no, getting the shots closer together won't give you immunity faster.

the shots should have no effect on your UND HCV status. i know many people including myself were advised by our doctors to get the HBV shots as soon as we found out we had HCV. The reason is if you get both of these diseases at the same time it can be deadly.
I think I have read people here getting the shots even during treatment. I'm sure some others will post with their experiences getting the shot.
