6 month post TX

First post in a really long time... I finished my 24 weeeks last september. I was genotype 3a I cleared at 24 weeks and still clear 6 months post treatment. I am greatfull for this treatment, it was difficult but well worth it, at this point i feel great i have changed my life style quite drasticaly and it feels good. When i got the news yesterday from my doc he also added that my CBC was still low and recomends further testing, he thinks it is probably the long lasting effects of the treatment. i am still on Prozac and haven't made the decision yet as to stay on it or not.
All you on tx hang in there it''s hard but well worth the results!
Keep the faith be strong
Peace

Hi Mike, I posted to "Thursday dinner club" where you shared that wonderful artical about the possible new vacination for all Hep types.....did you see my post?  Do you think I should start back on regular dose of Riba now that I started procrit? Thanks again, Kathe

I'm sorry but I missed your post. I would hope that you could get to a bigger dose soon. Perhaps once you see some labs and see that the procrit is helping you could up the dose of ribavirin. For me the impact of procrit is seen pretty quickly so I hope you respond similarly. Good luck. Mike

Great news - all the best to you. Is it your platelets that didn't come back into range? Of the three, those seem to take the longest to rebound.

Great to see you pop up with such good news.  Congratulations!  Was the six months' wait strenuous?  I'm 6 weeks out; looking good, but eager for good news.
You are obviously enjoying life!
Best wishes,  Maj Neni
