Hi Everybody!  I'm 6 mos post TX. I went 48wks on pegasis and ribavirin. I'm a geno 1a, with early cirrhosis. My PCR pre-TX was over 6,000,000.
I just got my 6 mos post TX labs back...I'M UN-DETECTABLE!!!
THANK YOU JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations!!  You sound very excited, as you should be.  That six month test is a 'biggie', and a huge stressor.  Wonderful news.  Keep us posted.

Yes this was the first time I was treated.  I was in a study.  I have to have another liver biospy on wed 4/25.  I not only cleared the virus, but they are going to pay me on being in the study!

Congratulations!! If I were you I would try very hard not to obsess about HCV coming back because if it can show up later it is very, very rare after testing undetectable at 6 months post TX. I would celebrate like you are and stay well. I think you have plenty of reason to rest easy. Mike

lyrics by EH Harburg

"Ding-**** the witch is dead!
Which old witch? The wicked witch
Ding-**** the wicked witch is dead!
Wake up you sleepyhead
Rub your eyes, get out of bed
Wake up the wicked witch is dead
She's gone where the goblins go
Below - below - below
Yo-ho, let's open up and sing and ring the bells out
Ding ****' the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low
Let them know the Wicked Witch is dead!"

OH MY!!  A HUGH CONGRADULATIONS!!!!!!  You have beat the DRAGON.  Wasn't the Strawberry Festival last weekend your way.  Do you go to this event.  My best girlfriend from back there went.

I wish I could be back there right now, my brother in law died day before yesterday, problems with his kidneys and then the liver shut down.  I have too much to deal with, with my husband, so my baby sister and my best friend are going to make the funeral for me.

YOU GO GIRL, I am so glad you beat this thing.  I am a 1b and will test next month for my 6 month post pcr.  Getting nervous.

Have A Great Weekend.  What a way to start one.

Wow, look at all the folks here tonight!

Your news is just what I needed to hear this eve. I'm 2b, some cirrhosis too. About to take Pegus shot #2. Had a very rough time with the 1st one last week, so I've been feeling uneasy about tonight ... but here goes ... and praying be able to say the same thing someday later this year.

Thank you for your post, it really meant a lot to me.
