ALT 45

Hi ,

I'm a 27 yr old female. I had my blood work done last week and my ALT level is high , 45. I had to take antibiotics in July, august and infact the day blood work is done , i just had started my antibiotics for an abcess on my leg. I don't have any other symptoms. Will the elevated ALT due to antibiotics or any liver disease??

honey can also help with wounds it is more potent than topical antibiotics on open wounds, i am using it now because topical antibiotics worsen infection and because oral antibiotics are among the heaviest drugs for liver

in case of light infection it is a better option but if infection is deep oral antibiotics are needed

you ALT is not that high. Many things can cause an elevation in ALT,  i.e. drinking alcohol, medications, etc.

re-test after not taking meds or alcohol for several days.
