ALT Levels

I don't know what this means.  I'm told my ALT levels by blood test is 61.  Also, I'm told my Glom Filt Rate Est is 60.
Can you give me what I can do to lower both w/o medicine, naturally.   I am 51 years old and weight 218 @ 5'3 feet tall.  Thank you in advance.

Here is an old thread on GFR.
http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/370173
Look for the replies by Hepatitis Researcher they should help explain what GFR is.

at 5’3 and 218 lbs your BMI is 38.
Your BMI should be below 25 to be normal for your height.
Your BMI was calculated from http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

It would seem that you have Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease and some Kidney disease.
However without the rest of your blood test results this is a guess based on you BMI along with your high ALTs and GFR.

The best thing for you to do if you really want to lower your ALTs is to lose weight.
Sorry but that is just the way it is. Not sure if this will help with the GFR though.

All the Best
