If I were you I wouldn't be that concerned about your ALT being a little higher than you want because it could be related to something completely different than your HepC status.  After all, you have become UND, right?

I will leave you with a website link that is very useful when reading and understanding blood levels.  I think you will learn that there are so many variables involved with the ALT and results that there could be anything causing your ALT level to be a little high.  take care and hold your head up high as you are doing well.  God Bless

First of all congrats on being negative in 4 weeks ( one month) thats a very good sign for SVR and it means that you are RVR.

Its a normal thing that ALT fluctuates during tx and some docs say its because of interferone & Riba themself. I am in week 32 of my tx and my ALT fluctuates, some time its in 20's and next month its gone up to 50's. My doc is not really worried about this. Are you taking any other medicine apart from tx ??? ALT may rise due to some medcine.

More than likely you elevated ALT is because of the Interferon and Riba. Don't be concerned about it. This happens to some people. At this point especially because you became UNDetected at 4 weeks your main concern is to stay the course and finish treatment no matter what and make sure there are NO dose reductions during treatment.
If you do this you are just about assured of beating HCV because of your early response (RVR). Once you finish treatment your enzymes will return to normal if not before.

Our doc told us yesterday that if, on your 4 week testing your VL has dropped to 0 - you have a better than 80% chance of sucessful tx, whereas if it takes until 10 or 12 weeks to drop to 0 your chances of sucess are still 45-50%. Don't know if others agree with that, but that was the dx we got yesterday.
So HUGE congrats on the 0 VL!!
