Then this drug sounds like a good choice since it helps reverse scarring of cirrohsis. Good luck!

looked it up and it sounds like a good drug of choice for the arthritis and possible your liver. The warnings are usually standard, the SOC tx drugs, peg and riba carry liver warnings. Do uou know how much liver damage you have at this point?

Hi w.s.,
I'm new to this site.  I'm also genotype 1 and have developed arthtitis a couple of years ago.  My rheum doc put me on Embrel because it is extremely safe for the liver.  Are you familiar with it? You have to inject it once a week but it is extremely effective and has no side effects. He believes Embrel even helps make Hep C tx easier. I haven't done treatment yet so I don't know first hand but he is one of most highly regarded docs in NYC.

Of course I can't make a suggestion about your health care but i'll tell you my experience.I'm currenty on a pre diabetic drug called actos-it seems my liver is over producing sugars or something. Anyway, Actos has warnings all over it liver!beware!I brought this up with my hep doc and he said he knew of the warnings but not to worry because he will be monitoring my liver closely.  he said most things will have some effect on the liver. My pain managment doc says morphine sulphate is easy on the liver but it seems you are not  taking narcotics and it's best not to in most cases. Wishing a pain free tx. giddy
