AVN

I have to say you all seem like a wonderful group of people with much knowledge, and from my responses to previous questions, I am doing more research and appreciate your time to respond to me.

I recived my report from my orthopedic doctor regarding my AVN (avascuolar necrosis).  I corresonded earlier that this disease or disorder has nothing to do with HCV, but I have heard it can be prevelent in patients with HIV or those who abuse steroids, of which both I have tested negative for.

I have been having a hard time with anxiety, even with the Zoloft and Diazepam, I can't shake it. My doctors all seem so "calm" about each diagnosis that appears when they find something else wrong.  My Knee MRI report final reading says:  Extensive infarcts are seen involving the femoral condyles and tibial plateaus of both knees and extending into the distal metaphsys of both femurs.  I would like to know what this means in layman terms, can anyone help?

Please, excuse me if some this is repetative.  I am facing so many new diagnosis and always get the same answer, either "i don't know" or "it may be related to the HepC".

I know depression is hard on all of "us".

Thaks to a new day!

Sorry I don't know what the cause of most of what you mention could be.

I looked up infarct--

a localized area of tissue, as in the heart or kidney, that is dying or dead, having been deprived of its blood supply because of an obstruction by embolism or thrombosis.

There should be some kind of medical search engine, but the only way I know is too google it. Maybe try med-line.
