I started treatment (Jan 2013) with back problems but  recent treatment has really made it worse.  I ache in my muscles and there are times I can't get up because of the back/pelvic bone pain.  I can no longer carry anything without really hurting afterwards.

I have an icepack that hooks around my waist and that helps.  I can't sit in soft chairs because I can't get up so use hard back chairs.  I can't carry shoulder bags that are heavy any longer because my shoulders and neck burn.

I am hoping that after treatment I will get rid of most of the aches and pains and just deal with the back problems from before.  My energy has not always been good but recently (since week 24) I have more energy then before.  Don't know what that means but I just enjoy being able to move about like I did before treatment.

Treatment is so different for everyone but aches and pains seem to come with the territory.  I am putting hope in after treatment feeling better on all fronts so that keeps me moving forward.  I do take tylenol when it is really bad but I also take warm baths and use my icepack so much it feels like it is part of me.

Hang in there!

Before I was diagnosed with hepatitis C in 2011 I had fairly severe fatigue. I was tired all of the time and had no energy for much of anything. I also had back pain which interfered with my ability to stand for any length of time and do anything for any length of time. In addition, I had peripheral neuropathy. Most of my joints ached as did my muscles. All of these symptoms had been increasing as the years went by.

From Sept. 26, 2011 thought Aug. 25, 2012  I treated for 48 weeks with Interferon, Ribavirin, and Incivek (Incivek for 12 weeks). I am now cured. I attained SVR in Feb. of 2013. My back pain is completely gone. Most of the joint aches and pains are gone. The muscle aches are gone. The peripheral neuropathy is gone. The fatigue is completely gone. I have tons of energy and pep. I never get tired now. I feel better than I have felt for 20 years.

So, all of that fatigue and most of the pain and aching I had was due to Hep C.

You will probably feel a lot better after you treat and get rid of Hep C.

People that I know experience joint pain and/or tendonitis.
Your liver doctor could tell you what you could take for pain.
I also experience neck pain
Good luck
