After Hep C treatment

Hi all

I was on 48 weeeks treatment infe\riba. I am done with treatment and its been 3 months so far no hard post side affects sofar, My  doc suggested not to get my wife pregnant untill  6 months. Well i just want to know afeter 6 months or one year when my wife gets pregnent is this treatment gonna show any problems or affects on kids.

please share any suggestions thank you very much in advance

I did the treatment about 6-years ago for the first time.  I have a 2 1/2-year-old who is as normal and beautiful both physically and mentally as she could be.

They are worried about the ribivirin, which caused birth defects in lab animals.  Wait the full 6 months and if you are still paranoid, wait a little longer.  The docs seem to feel pretty positive that the riba will be out of your system completely after 6.  People who have treatment after affects are not complaining about the drugs still working in them, but other things.
