After effect of Hep C treatment

Hi Sugarplum49,
Can you tell me how long you had any symptoms of the effects of the interferon and ribavirin, after you finished treatment? I have a friend who lives with aches and pain every day and a dull headache constantly - he finished the treatment in May 08 and was told these effects would go away in a couple of months but 10 months later, he doesn't feel they are getting any better.
His liver is fine and there's no sign of the HCV.
Is this acceptable or do you think there's something else going on in his body? He's 57.

I suspect this is another one of those things that will be different for everyone. Some ppl shake it off within a few weeks...others can have lingering effects. Im so sorry that he isn't back to normal..that he feels so poor. It's hard to say if other things are going on with his health...certainly possible. Not much help, was I?
