Alinia Trial over for me

I just wanted to check in for y'all who are interested in Alinia.  After 12 weeks of standard treatment and 16 weeks of Alinia (or placebo) I failed to reach a 2Log drop.  I started at 20 million and ended up at 570,000 and rising.  I have treated twice before and always made the 2Log drop Wk 12 but failed to clear.  I will say this 3rd treatment was the easiest.  The depression and fatigue that hit me like a truck the first time are much easier to see coming and head off.

I guess I will start daily Infergen as soon as it is approved but don't feel too motivated with this latest news.  I really like this forum and the old regulars.  It keeps me up on the latest treatment info and your stories are appreciated.

Gen 1A, stage 3 fibrosis, twice non-responder, started first treatment 2005, I feel like I am forgetting something (my current state of mind)

sorry you did not clear. you are a true warrior to have tried tx 3 times. hopefully the new PI meds in trial will be what is needed to kill the dragon. best of luck

Your strength is really motivating;  I'm sorry for what you've had to endure to get such a result....  There are some other infergen users on this site.   If no-one else comes on board this thread, perhaps start a new one entitled 'infergen'.   I really wish you the very best and thankyou for the heads up on the depression and fatigue.  I so hope your determination and persistance get the results on the infergen.

Have you had any additional medical problems after treatment?  I tried treatment twice and it did not work.  I now have medical problems developing, I believe, from the meds taken.  I have constant gas, my nails seem to be rottening, and I developed a lot of cavaties after treatment.

sorry, jm ps when do you find out if you were in the control? if so are you still interested in alinia?
