What is an Alkaline Phosphatas E test indicate and what are normal levels. Just got back lab work and waiting to talk to Doc about results. Found on line normal is 20 to 140. Mine came back 65 yet it says high next to it.

Ranges for normal are determined lab by lab, so the people sampled for your lab's normal range may be a little different from internet listings for other laboratories. Your lab results should list their normal range next to your 65 reading. Normal for my lab is 35-123.
I looked all this stuff up at one point and found that Alk. phosphatase is a bile duct enzyme, so high levels in the blood indicate a blocked bile duct and probably scarring in that area of the liver.
