I was 1b and finished 3 weeks ago. Feeling a lot better, some anxiety still there as the treatment was tough for me...
Hopefully good news will make me more relaxed.
How did you get the PCR results back so fast?
I can't believe my tx is finished! Today my doc said I could stop everything right now, since basically all my trouble came from the Riba. I feel obligated to take pills, Procrit & Neupogen until Friday am, though, just to know that I did everything I could... I'm preparing for another wait; got the EOT Heptimax drawn today.
Timbo, it's great that you're still undetectable. Six weeks will go pretty fast, and the light will be coming back to AK. I think we're sharing the cold... So then come on out to party! At least you and Seashell, you'll finish together, just have to decide who's driving across town.
Keep at it, everyone, there is an end to tx!

I finished three weeks ago and feeling much better phisically, still trouble with anxiety. Depression seems to have desappeared.
Whew...what a wild ride,eh? I have yet to find any way to really describe what it was really like. I'm just glad its over!
Girlwith curl....That is the BEST news. That 6 month test is the "BIGGIE" for us. Your odds just went WAYYYY up with that news. I'm SO happy for you.
Majneni....Wow girl. What can I say? You have amazed me watching you fight your way through all the problems you had. You hung tough through it ALL. You can now sit back and honestly say that you DID give it your BEST shot this time. I'm thinking now that just having that Badger around could "maybe" be a GOOD thing. Now that you are gonna get your sanity back, I have a feeling he may just be packin up to go and harass someone else. Your next test should tell the story. I will be watchin for that post from you.
Now GET HAPPY and be well you 2............

FG, hats off you you, also!! Now we all have to stick around for the newbies to let them know it can be done and there is life after HCV.
dheana: so glad to hear your depression is better. my anxiety took a while but it is better too now after tx. doesnt overwhelm me now. i shopped for 2 hours today.
majneni: and the others who are finishing up. what a relief huh? i have yet to find words to really describe what treatment was really like either- as was stated here!!
I JUST READ YOUR FANTASTIC NEWS!!!!!!!!!!
WHOO-HOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU..YOU FOUGHT HARD!
I WAS ONE YEAR UNDETECTABLE IN OCTOBER.
BE WELL,
LIZE :O)
I had problems with my first two docs. They just were not informed or up to date on the latest HCV info. I saw them because there was such a long wait at a hep docs. Well I finally did go to a hepatologist and it was the best thing. Sure I can't talk to him anytime I want but not only is he very up to date but his staff is too. I call the GIPA or RN if I have question in between appointment. I now realize this is slow acting disease and the wait wasn't really a problem. If you see another GI or another type of doc maybe it would help for you to put together a list of questions for him so you will be able to tell just how up to date they are. There are informed GI's too. Hope you find a better doc. LL
