Anti HBs (ECLIA) result

by tina1002, Aug 13, 2007 03:47AM
I had my Hepatitis B vaccination of 3 doses 13 years ago. I just had my Anti HBs (ECLIA) test for antibodies and the result of the Anti HBs (ECLIA) is  >1000  IU/L    Reactive.  What does this mean?  In people with Hepatitis B infection present what is the expected Anti HBs (ECLIA) result.  Please give me your medical opinion. Thanks.

If you took the HepB vaccine and find that your Anti HBs is reactive, that is good news :) double :) :)  It means that the vaccine worked and your are immuned to HepB.

To be absolutely sure, ask your doctor to test your HBsAg.  In your case, it should be negative or non-reactive.

Take good care.
