Any One Using Restasis Eye Drops While Treating?

My eye doctor just Rx'd Lotemax (4 weeks) & Restasis (for life) for my extremely dry eyes. They feel like sand is in them. I am concerned because from what I can understand Restasis works through the auto immune system. I am in week 38 of standard treatment and since week 16 of treatment have had a hypothyroid. Any advice? I also was told this morning to increase Procrit from 20,000 to 40,000 a week because Hgb was only 8.5 on this weeks lab. Totally unrelated probably but added just in case.

Thank you, I was really concerned about adding another med, but my eyes are really painful.  I think I will go ahead and give them a try.

Hi-
I've been using Restasis (a prescription medication that causes your eyes to create more tears) since Lasik surgery 4 years ago. I'm currently on treatment, and both my doctors are aware I am using it. I really don't think it effects treatment in any way and I wouldn't be concerned.
