OxyCotin is the same thing as Oxycodone only OxyContin tablets have a controlled, time-release formulation. They contain no Tylenol or other analgesic.

I had back surgery a few years ago and the dr prescribed oxycodone for pain since I had liver disease rather then oxycontin which I believe had tylenol.
As Trinity said this stuff is seriously addictive and tolerance increases very rapidly. I threw hundreds of them out after a month of taking them when the acute pain subsided reasonably well.
Roxicodone does not contain acetaminophen, it's the same thing as oxycodone and is about 90% opiate and very addictive. It would be less invasive to the liver as opposed to Lortab, Vicodin or Percocet which do have acetaminophen, Ibuprofen or something along those lines.

Hi there,
Sorry to hear you have problems with pain. I’m unfamiliar with roxycodone; if it contains acetaminophen, that component should probably not exceed 3 to 4 grams daily, taken in 1000mg per dose max. Taken in large quantities, it can be dangerous for liver health; taken in recommended doses, it’s unlikely to cause any significant problems.
Good luck—
Bill
I believe it is acetominophine (tylenol) that does damage to the liver only if you drink more than 3 drinks a day. Ask your doc for pain meds that contain nothing but the opiate itself. My ex has bulging discs and he takes alot of oxi's and percocets. He is still in alot of pain daily.
