One member here had a pretty bad time with the rash and had to quit early (I believe he is still und a few weeks post treatment). He says that ice helped him a lot.
Be sure to keep your doc informed, the rash can get out of control sometimes.
Hello I have heard of people having to quit Incivek, Working Dog and Micheal however have you talked to your doctor? If you have not tried benedryl that can help as can icing the itchy spots, some here have used Aveeno Oatmeal baths to help them Then there are prescriptions (Atarax) that you can try
I know it is very difficult, I did it and wanted to stop however many on here helped me. The people who were forced to stop Incivek did continue on with Peg and Riba
Best of luck to you
I had awful itching with no rash
I am so sorry to hear about your rash! I hope you can hang in there but be careful. It sounds like you are doing the right thing by keeping your doctor informed (and up to the minute if need be.) I read your old posts and see that you are in about week 7. Have you tried Aveeno Skin Relief Shower and Bath Oil. It is very soothing (try not to use really hot water). I also used every lotion in the book. The Aveeno is good also OTC cortisone products. My doc also did not prescribe RX creams for the rash. When it spread to more than 50 % of my body he had me stop the Incivek (which was 9.6 weeks) but continue the rest. I met all the other EVR protocols. I wish you the best!

I had heard from my doctor that is possible to stop the Incivek at 10 weeks, but not recommended. Glad to hear you are still UND. This rash is really driving me crazy and if anything that could be a downfall in my treatment, then this is it. I'm just hoping I can hang in there.
Hi,
I stopped incivek due to rash at 9.6 weeks. I continued with Peg and riba for the remaining 24 weeks. I was UND at wks 4,8,16, 24,. I was also checked post tx at about 13 weeks and I remain UND. I will do the final blood test (at 24 weeks post tx) in May 2012.
