Anyone have any experience with PSI-7977?

2 weeks ago, I just started a phase 2b, 12 week trial of the polymerase inhibitor PSI-7977, in conjunction w/SOC.

I'm hopeful, as the numbers from a 28-day phase 2a test conducted last year were really good (i believe it is something like 94% of subjects given the actual study drug cleared the virus)

anyhoo, just wondered if anyone is familiar with this, or been on a study, or maybe know someone that is/was.

Moopertan,  I have been on a BMS/PSI trial for 5 months.  I have documented my journey in a series of journals on my Medhelp page.  There are also some links to research etc.

Adamben,  In a few days it is all going to be Gilead since they are buying Pharmasset and maybe there will be a way to changeyour lengthy rescue protocol.

The short of it is 'We are all jealous'.  That study and drug have nothing but stellar results so far.  I'm sure you've seen the Gilead purchase news.  I'm on another Gilead drug study.  Started all oral but didn't take, so now I'm on SOC and a protease and a NS5a inhibitor.  Feel great but I have to go 48 weeks of PEG.  I'm 13 weeks in.  Best of luck!  I've heard of many people who have gone 12 weeks on this with PEG/Riba and done!!!

My doctors advised me to wait 6 months because the test with PSI will happen in Brazil. I would start riba/infepegys yesterday but as I am with virgin tx 3 g F3, my doctors think I have chance to get ... is it difficult to participate?

my best,

Lia
