Anyone suffering from bumps on their legs?

by cata100, Nov 13, 2006 12:00AM
Hello, I was wondering if anyone who has completed tx 2 or more years ago is suffering from bumps underneith their skin.  My mother is 2.5 years post-tx and suffers from horrible pain on both her legs and has some suspicious bumps underneith her skin (on her shins).  The doctor keeps saying its nothing to worry about but won't offer an explanation.  I would also like to hear more about additional things she can be doing to feel better.  One of you mentioned something about steroid meds. not sure I know anything about that.  She is also struggling with the fact that it takes her a very long time to do routine things such as dressing, etc.  Her primary Doc. reffered her to a neurologist and he is currently treating her symptoms as possible Parkinsons, however there is no family history and she does not tremble.  The more I read, the more I'm inclined to believe she is suffering from the post-tx effects of interferon and am hopeful she will get better with time.

I am still on tx 21/24 and my calfs itch and there are little bumps under the skin but I do not know if they were there before because I never needed to touch that area as much as I have the past few days

If your mom still has hep c ask doctors about Cryoglobulins. My doc says they can cause bumps on the legs.Sorry she has these pains.
