Tentative start date for me is Jan 6th 2012. Specialty Pharmacy called and my rx should be here by this Friday, can't start until I go to the teaching class which will be on the 4th of Jan. So I'm thinking a good start date would be on that Friday the 6th. It's been a good wait, and learned so much on this forum, glad it took this long, I needed the knowledge which I got from all you folks. I'll be doing a four week lead in of Peg/interferon/Riba. and on the 5th week start Victrelis. My base line VL is 1709840, G2Stage4cirrhosis. Thanks to all.

Regards
Charlie

Thanks I'll keep an eye on that, I'm approved until March so I do have some breathing room, but that's exactly what the Specialty Pharmacy told me today.

That's good news Brian, hope you keep it going, SVR may be in the cards for you. As far as the wait, did the base CBC on Nov 28, so from the time my Insurance received them until Today, three to four weeks I'd say.

Congrats on getting started Charlie.

After you receive your first shipment your Specialty Pharmacy will likely need to do periodic authorizations (about every 12 wks?) to review your PCR's sent by your treating doctor.  I'm guessing you need to call your next order in each month, so you might find out when this authorization is needed.  If the doctor doesn't send the proper paperwork when needed, your meds could be delayed.

I am doing the same treatment. Started sept 22.  I was undetectable at weeks, 4,8, 12.   Good luck to you and hang in there.

How long did it take for your insurance to approve the meds?  My doctor is just starting that process today.  I am guessing if it gets approved(maybe 3 or 4 weeks?) that I will start maybe around the end of Jan or the beginning of Feb.
