Does anyone on here have Lupus?  I have been diagnosed with Vulvadynia and I also have Lupus plus Autoimmune Hepatitis.  Any insight would be helpful.

Hi Alice  That is good news about your blood work.  It is good that they are coming down.  Cutting down on predn is good.  It feels so postive to see those numbers coming down. Your kittens sound so cute. We have one cat, she likes to be with us. We call her lap fungus or velcro kitty. She is sweet and gives us laughs at the silly things she does.
Sorry it took me awhile to respond.  Have been busy, I think I need to learn to say no. Had a great time shopping at the Christmas Store. I want to go back, was not able to see everything.
Take care
M

Yes - my ANA came back positive.  I read on a website that lupus can contribute to vulvar pain.  I go see a specialist on the 18th in Portland.  i am extremely nervous - that they will tell me there is nothing they can do or even worse tell me i won't be able to have children.

Het All!  2 young, keep the faith for good news, I'll keep yu=ou in my prayers.
Marri, glad you had fun shopping. Did you go to Bronners in Frankenmuth? I was there when I was a teenager, and it was awesome.
I have a question though, I have been sick for a solid week now, started with chills, high fever, 103, and body aches, and that's it. No other symptoms. fever stopped and then sweats took it's place. Now I have a slight cough and can't stay out of the bathroom. I haven't been to the doctor yet, but does it take longer to get over colds etc. now that immune sytem is suppressed and will it make my AIH worse when I'm sick because it sure feels like it's acting up. Extremely tired, urine darker, and side has been hurting more again.

Was the chicken worth the wait? I've  heard it is. We didn't do the wait, even back then there was a wait for it! Glad you had a great time. Amazing how much better we feel after we get a break from the real world. Take care! Alice

Hi Yes we went to Bronners, what a neat store. Michelle loved it, she sees lights.  She look up at at the ceiling and smiled through the whole store.  Several people commented on her liking it. I collect natavities, and I bought 7. I like ethnic ones, so have added to me collection. One lady asked me if I collected, Yes, asked how many I have and I have never counted. I think 30. She has 200. Everyone told us you must have the "chicken dinner". We did. What a lot of food. We waited in line for 45 minutes at 4 in the afternoon. The restaurant seats 1500 people. Hotel rooms are pricey on the weekends, weekday they are less than 1/2 the cost. We are going back in January, Steve has a conference to go to.  Shelly and I will go shopping. I did not get to see everything. Who know, maybe they after after Christmas sales.
Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well.  I know that first year with AIH i did get sick. It hit me fast and did last longer than before AIH. I needed antibiotics. At the time I also wondered about my liver.  Don't know if it was real or worried. I do use purell and carry it with me everywhere.  I also try to stay away if I know folks are sick. This AIH does turn a person germaphobic. It would not hurt to talk to your Doctor. About you urine, if you are drinking less water that can make it darker. If it concerns you, talk with the dr that what we pay them the BIG money for.
Take care, hope you fell better soon. M

Hi Alice  Yes, the food was good and worth the wait. There was lots of food. I had their vidalia onion augratin soup.  It had cheese melted on top, I was almost full just from the soup. They let you take the leftovers, so we had another meal from it. I don't know that I would have the dinner every visit. But was worth it for the experience.  I agree it is good to get away. Glad to hear you are feeling better.  Hope you are able to get out of the house.

Hi! I got good news from the doctor today, I get tp taper down to 15 mg. pred. over the next two weeks. My liver is no longer swollen and she will up my myfortic after we get the pred. down, to keep my numbers from flying back up to the danger zone again. So, all in all everything is good! Whoohoo! I hope everyone else is doing good as well! Take care !  Alice

Alice  I am happy for you. That is such good news.  I am doing good. Todays weather is making my joints ache.  But I know that this will pass.  Have a crazy busy weekend planned.  Wedding on saturday, then after the supper. Come home, change, pack the car and make a 400 mile trip to Wisconsin.  Have a family function on Sunday. I hope for good weather, good traffic and no road construction. Getting to lower predn makes my want to sing the Happy Happy Joy Joy song.
Take care

I live in a small town and am close to the people at my vet's office and i recently found out that the office manager also has AIH. She was tellinng me that her doctor told her that a traumatic event to the body could have caused her AIH. Has anyone ever heard anything like this from their doctor? Her's began after her pregnancy. He said that because it was such a rough pregnancy that it brought it on.

Marri, hope you had great weekend!

Also, while getting the AIH under control, do any of you have flare ups if you over do it? Like right now I feel good and have only had AIH for 7 months, it's almost under control, but I find that if I do to much, like goig shopping all day or do too much around the house that I'll start to feel like **** and my liver will hurt and I'll be fatigued. Does anyone else have this problem, and does this happen even after you get it fully under control?

Thanks! Alice

Hi Alice  I have heard a number of AIH folks saying that they think stress may have played a role in this disease. I have met just one person so far with AIH, we try to have lunch once a month.  We meet half way, we each drive about 40 miles. It makes an instant bond.
Yes, I can feel it when I over do. I have not gotten all my energy back. This is much better, but I think I have a new normal. I had hope if I pushed it, I would get more energy.  No such luck. Now I listen to my body, and take it easy when I start feeling tired.
Had a great weekend, busy but great.  Talk to you later
