Autoimmune

What exactly is autoimmune HCV? I know I have HVC but I don't know what kind (type) I have. I need help.

Autoimmune hepatitis is when the patient's body attacks their own liver cells. It may be due to toxins, drugs or some diseases such as lupus. It is not the same as hepatitis C which is a specific virus. I hope you are seeing a very good hepatologist becasue you say you are positive for hep C. The treatment for hep C is not good for AI hep and the treatment for AI hep is contraindicated in viral hepatitis. You need an excellent physician.
