BLOOD TEST AFTER TX

by fellow traveler, Jul 07, 2003 12:00AM
Tesstube wanted to know when I was going to blood test after completing tx (took my last shot 7/4 and will take my last pills thurs night - getting alittle head start to try and feel good for the weekend - I can't "hep" myself!!! - I took my last shot a lousy day early and wow, it put me on my butt!  That interferon is more powerful than you think!!).  Doc scheduled me for blood test directly after the last pills, including thyroid.  I'm thinking of waiting a week and using my last test (about a month ago) as a baseline for end of tx.  I'm curious as to how my rbc and wbc respond after a week of no tx.  Think that's a good idea?  I plan to document for you guys a day by day of what happens after tx is done.  Any special info anyone want, let me know.  Thanks Tess and Mike for the kind thoughts.  This last 6 mths have been a life altering ride.  I feel like there was my life before hcv and now I'm starting my life after hcv (I cleared the virus).  Plan to stay on the antidepressants as a kind of completing tx gift to myself.  I'm on 20 mg Paxil and thinking of cutting pills in half after a week off tx.  Sound reasonable?
