Hi Cohiba18
I just got the results of my most recent liver biopsy and was also at the same stage as you. Going to see the doc in a week, don't know how serious this is or how long it takes to progress to the next step. I am trying to stay positive, and treat my body well. It is kind of scarey! I am more scared of treatment not working then having the treatment. Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones that get's rid of it. The odds seem to be getting better with the new drugs that will be coming out in the next year or so.
Good luck to you,
Dave

It appears your liver fibrosis is Stage 2. If this is correct you still have some time to treat before the level of fibrosis diminishes your chances of successful treatment.

Note: Check with your doctor to confirm that Periportal fibrosis indicates stage 2.

Definition: Periportal fibrosis :extension of fibrosis outside the portal tract.

Did they give you a grade and stage??? That would be very nice to know. . . along with whatever system of scoring they used.

Many people have walked the path you are about to begin. Most of us found that it was doable.

best wishes,

Max

I would think that most ppl are scared or at least anxious.  You need to read your results and tell the forum your stage and your grade.  Your genotype would help as well, sorry but ALT and AST are just not that much information for anyone to help you with.  good luck
