Bloodshot eyes

Hi--I'm on week 24/48 with 1-b, stage 2 grade 2 and the last few days I have noticed that the inner corners of my eyes are VERY bloodshot. Has anyone else had the experience? I'm headed for the liver doc tomorrow for my 24 week treatment conference and PCR but I'm wondering if it is completely unrelated and I should be calling my regular doc.

Nor Cal Mom where are you?  How are you doing?  I haven't seen any posts from you for quite awhile, and I know you were battling anemia and pushing those heavy xray machines around the hospital.  Please check in.  Have you had your 24 week PCR?

I too get really bloodshot eyes all the time.  My corrdinators said this is most likely a side effect.  I can tell when they are really red as they kinda burn.  So, yes, think this is a side effect.

Also wanted to add w/o starting a new trend, was watching Good Morning America this morn and they has some tips on really dry itchy skin.  Beleive it or not it really makes sence!  Buy lotions that pregnant women use!  They say that pregnant women get the driest skin there is on their tummy, it stretches, cracks and is very itchy (ladies you know what I mean!).  Anyway they say that these lotions are made with the safest ingredients due to safety to the fetus.  Makes hell of alot sence.

O.K. guys, rush right on out there to your local pharmacy and buy the latest and greatest PG lotion for that  dry skin!  They did say though that if you have company come over to make sure you keep it put away so nobody gets any ideas!  LOL!

Frijole.....maybe this would be your solution to your cracked hands!  Who knows, it may be the answer for all of us dealing with this awful dry skin during tx!

Best to all,

Thanks, I have been itching more lately. I was rubbing my calfs the other day on a dark floor snd noticed it looked like a snowfall on the ground. Just dead cells I guess.  Maybe I can lose the love handles that way! Biggest problem is I can't reach the areas of my back. Asking the teen or Dad to help with that requires a 1/2 hr of them needling me. Testosterone issue I guess.
As far as hands-aaaaghhhhhhhhh. I'd probably wear maternity clothes if it would help. Just when I think they are getting better it's like snack, crackle, pop. I tried the nexcare skin ncrack care stuff. Didn't really help much, and when I got home from work I noticed all the lint and material from my gloves had adheres to the craks where I used it. Took tweezers to get some out. I'm still afraid to use the   Zim's stuff(which has worked for me in the past)-just because it doesn't sound safe rubbing somtehing with sda3c denatured alcohol over hands with open cracks. Denatured alcohol is not like rubbing alcohol it's the same stuff we drink-with toxins added to make it not consumable. Never got an answer from my doc on it.
Hope you're getting some rest by the way.

avid - I haven't had the bloodshot eyes but could they be related to anemia?  I sure to rub my eyes more than I should when I am tired.

fish -  why not - add that to my collection of cremes and lotions.  Actually, I am going thru them pretty quickly so there is no build up.  Like Strator, I too get those little piles of white dead tissue everywhere.

I too thought Strator's solutions were most helpful for your brother and am glad you have found a way to put that plan into action, Fish

Don, so glad you are here, wanted to thank you for your response to my issues the other day.  I was really at witts end after the docs office called and cancelled surgery for Bud.  What you wrote will be a GREAT tool for me to work with.  What great ideas you have there!  Today i have him researching sofas for me on the internet ( i have not found that perfect sofa yet that has said buy me!)and he knows what I am looking for. He is also making doc appts.  I had to assure him his surgery was cancelled although not indeffently.  He thought he was not getting the surgery at all!  Poor guy!  Just have to get his blood level back up from 10.5 to at least 13.5-14.  He has doc appt on Friday.  I am sure they will start him on Procrit.

Well go buy some tummy cream for your body and see if it really works!  I am going to do the same.  Thought I might use it on my face also for WRINKLES (same as stretch marks?)!  LOL.

Oh yea, stayed in bed all day yesterday with my pup.  We snoozed off and on all day......it was nice, not really had any sides or really tired, just thought i would take it while I could get it.

Thanks again Don..........be well!
