Body Fortress' NOS and my liver.

I have a question.  Please forgive me if I'm not using this forum correctly.  Anyways, I have hep c, have had it for approx. 6 yrs.  My ALT's have remained around 92, twice normal, and my AST's bounce into and out of range.  This according to the 3 hepatic function panels I've had over the past 4 years.  I like bodybuilding, done some steroids in the past, been off since Dec. '03.  My question is this, what risk am I running by using supplements such as creatine, NO2, and whey protein?  It states on the NO2 bottle to consult a doctor if you have a liver disease or an autoimmune disease before using.  What would you do?  I have to mention that I love the pumps I get from nitric oxide maximizers.  I have another question.  Recently I

Catfish,
I do know that solvents and strong chemicals can be hard on the liver.  My fiance is a narcotics investigator and is lab certified.  That means that he has to go into methamphetamine labs and process the scene, take down all the components and get out all of the chemicals.  He is USUALLY wearing a chem suit while he does this, but is still exposed to some of the chemicals without protection.  The DEA has all officers who are lab certified tested for high liver enzymes on a yearly basis.  They have obviously found that chemical exposure can have a detrimental effect on liver function.  I hope that this will help you decide what to do about protecting yourself in your new position.  Best of luck in your career and with your health!

The liver is pretty amazing in the abuse it takes and still manages to function. It would be prudent to not burden it with substances that significantly challenge it.

Work with your doctor - it may be necessary to more frequently monitor your liver functioning being exposed to various chemicals. I've a long-time friend who experienced significant liver damage being exposed to solvents, but he, apparently, was the only one of his crew to have problems, go figure.
