Body pain

I have had the peg-interferon with ribatol (48 wks of hell), ended Nov 2006!  I want to know if anyone continued to have their body pain/nerve pain past the 1st three months after treatment?

Don't go to a Neurologist they dont believe about the pain I have.  Trying to imply (on 1st meeting) that I probably have a drug/alcohol problem and I am dening it...I refuse to see him again, plus he was going to take me off the Tramadol, because I didn't need it, it's in my head.  Well he don't want to see me without my tramadols.   I need to see a Neuropathy doctor.

Please email me ***@****

Thanks for the info.  I did go see a Neuropathic doctor and they call themselves also Pain Management.

The doctor wrote 2 scripts one for Zanaflex 2mg and get this Oxycotin but 5mg for when the pain is too much.  But I only take when it hurts most, I think Im supposed to take the Zanaflex everyday. Damn 1-2 3x a day...I'm not doing that with everything else.  Then he wanted to stop my Tramadol  with Cymbalta??  I don't think SO! I had to check myself into the mental ward to get off those...And I told him so!  So I don't know if he is really going to help me.  There are no upcoming appointments.

I just didn't feel good during the day after taking any of those with all my other pills.

It seems possible the HCV meds might exacerbate some underlying condition - Not that I have any data supporting this. The thing is either way, the cause may not be so relevant in diagnosing and treating your pain. I think your idea to see a Neuropathy Specialist is a good one.

Maybe the Tramadol isn't that great a help with your pain since there are different medications and treatments for different kinds of pain. I hope this works out and you post your results since there may be someone else who can benefit from your experience.
