Brain fog

I was wondering what the brain fog is that everyone talks about?  I'm only going on my 3rd shot tomorrow night, i'm 1a and so far no bad sx just minor body ache & fever.

Consider yourself lucky. One of the side effects of interferon is fuzziness. Think about having the flu and how your head feels--not physically headachy, but how everything seems kind of far away and hard to process and it's hard to think. During the flu, your body is manufacturing interferon to fight the flu virus. Well, you're taking interferon in pretty large doses and in sufficient quantity to keep it built up in your bloodstream.

I went through the first couple of months of tx with mostly physical side effects. It was only for the last four months or so that the mental effects overwhelmed the physical. Most of us have it to some degree or other. For me, after a while the way I felt was "normal" and I adjusted and figured out how to get done what needed to be done.

I did my last interferon (#48) on 9/3 and I have been noticing that already, the fog feels like it's lifting. So hang in there.

Now, what you want to ask about is riba rage...

although i haven't done drugs in 20 or so years, since becoming a Christian, i have to say,it reminds me of smoking a joint before going to school,although at that time i enjoyed the hazy feeling and didn't mind "missing school mentally"...you sorta are just dazed sometimes yes, and confused...like someone above said though...you learn to deal with it...but, now i sure wish i remembered what i was taught...you can tell spelling was part of the fog...

in addittion to what donl just stated, I want to alert you to the disorientation and short term memory loss, brought about by the interferon and the anemia that will eventually show up. some people get it within 4 to 6 wks of starting tx, others take longer.  Enjoy the mild sx while they last.

Everything listed above plus losing concept of time.  The funny part is feeling like you're living the same day over and over like in the movie Ground Hog Day.  The fog has effected my mental capabilities, which frustrates the heck out of me just like Chevy.  I'm a Software Project Manager, and I get totally lost in meetings with developers talking about code and schema changes.  My friends and family tell me I'm alot slower on the uptake then normal.  I'd say I'm at about 60% mentally.  Been faking it at work pretty well, I think, uh...can't remember : )

If you get it, hope it's mild for you.  At first I was really hard on myself about it.  It's just one of the possible icky sides.

Hey.  back off on the phoney morality!  I'm a Christian and smoke pot legally b/c hep c is a 'qualifier' for medicinal pot!  I've already died and seen the glory and saw the grandmothers and was sent back!!

Not only am I a Christian, b/I've talked to god personally and was sent back to testify to the glory and peace possible.

I don't get on my GOD STAND and use it to bully and belittle.  Faith. true faith, is not boastful or judgemental.

Your life fell short not b/c of the use of a god given, sacred, healing herb, b/for other reasons.  Just b/c you misused a medicine given by god and recanted that lifestyle that incl that abuse, doesn't make you a sinner or a saint!

I've also gone thru analysis w/all the AD's. and give me a joint anytime.  AD's are the devils work as far as I'm concerned.

sojourn wazzzup? the pot i smoked was illegal and i do regret it for many reasons...not just biblically...and that was totally not the spirit behind what i said...but oh well...God knows my heart...

also, what i said above does'nt tell you whether or not i support medicinal prescription pot...i see no reason not to...unless it's abused against drs orders...

when i say biblically i simply mean the word says not to "disobey civil authorities", ie...pot being illegal according to our government...that's the main reason i gave it up after becoming a Christian...i really did mean the above in all sincerity...

p.s. one of the reasons i am a Christian today is that my mom always taught me about his love...saying it is greater than anything i've ever experienced...she said she knew this because of a surgury gone bad and a light at the end of a tunnel experience...interesting you should bring that up...i thank my mom for her testimony to me from her heart about that day...

hahaha You a little wired?  I didn't read that LvdbyGod was saying because people smoke pot,,,they are not Christians. I only read that she herself said since she became a Christian,,,she chose to not do drugs... Hey,,,its cool,,,noone is judging you,,Go light one up for me also LOL
