Does anyone out there know of any direct correlation to psoriasis (skin condition) and liver malfunction? Would appreciate info. Thanks!

I'm not sure how strong the association is between Hepatitis C and Psoriasis but Hepatitis C can make psoriasis more difficult to treat because some of the drugs used are liver toxic. Also, the interferon used in treatment, will often flare the psoriasis. I had very mild psoriasis both before and after treatment but during treatment is was a living nightmare with over half of my body infected with one form or another. I treated with both topicals, UVB light and laser to keep it in check. Enbrel, a systemic that supposedly is non liver toxic was recommended early-on but I declined because it's also an immunosuppressive. Anyone with psoriasis who is intending on treating should be well aware of the flare-up risks and should get themselves set up with a good dermatologist beforehand.

i have had psoriasis that comes up now and then i also have symptoms of lupus, severe joint pain where i could barely make it up the stairs and was thinking that in 5 years i would be crippled, pain just popping up overnight and disappearing for months at a time. i also have a butterfly rash across bridge of nose and cheeks thats when my doc recommended me to rhumetalogist and he confirmed hep c, but i did have something that said i was speckled pattern 1:80 whatever the heck that means? so this is all something new to me. thinking i had lupus or rhemetoid arthritus and being told chronic hep c, that was the last thing in the world i would of thought of....
