Can HCV patients be organ donors?

by OneDream612, Oct 07, 2002 12:00AM
I am doing some Hep C research and a question has come up. Can hep C patients be organ donors and what are the circumstances?
Any and all information on this would be greatly appreciated.
I have recently read an article in which uninfected patients recieved organs from an infected patient resulting in them getting sick. Is there a period that HCV is dormant that would account for this happening?
