What I really want to know is if anyone knows of any cases where Hep C was transmitted to a spouse/partner(hetarosexual)thru sexual intercourse? I have researched on the internet and have only come up with that it is rare. My boyfriend was diagnosed with Hep C a couple of months ago and his Dr. said that there was no need to use protection. On the other hand, I went to my Dr. to get tested (tested negative) and she said that it was a sexually transmitted disease and we should be using condoms until he is no longer contagious. We have never used condoms and don't want to if it would be unnecessary.
