Omg..thanks alot Kim!! for putting my mind at ease. You have no idea how relieved i am to hear this. Its a learing experience this one was...i think i gotta get me some new friends.lol..jk..but thats really great news to hear about ur family as well tho..,it gives me a little more insight on how hard it is to catch it. Your'e right about my gf though .. she's the real reason i was soo worried about the whole situation. i was jus thinking if my friend played with the hookers vag and then the steering wheel my gf touched ..guess it really is nothing to worry about... thanx again for the reply.. and imma be a little more cautious next time around!! wishing you the best of luck in all your treatments and life!
-Brandon.
No worries Brandon
Lets break this all down for you.
Hep C is contracted thru blood to blood contact.
Now, if the prostitutes had Hep C it really wouldn't matter, but that we don't know.
Your friend had sex and touched your eye, mouth, cheek ect. If he did acquire the virus from the hooker, touching you is not a risk factor unless he
was bleeding and so were you. Even in your eye.
Your girl had a gash from work and touched the interior of the car and steering
wheel. She was presumably bleeding, but unless your friend was bleeding and had Hep C and his blood was on the wheel the scenario is still slim.
This is a difficult virus to catch. Just remember ...Blood to Blood.
I've been in a 20 year marriage, unaware I had Hep C, had 2 children, and
didn't practice safe sex. My ex husband and children were tested and they
do not have the virus.
Do believe its a honorable thought to want to protect your girlfriend and of
course yourself.
You and your girlfriend are not at risk for getting Hep C.
You are both OK
Stay safe
