Cancer treatment & hep c treatment

I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.  My breast cancer treatment will be radiation treatment for a month or so,  and  I will have to take hormone therapy (for example, tamoxifin) for 5 years.  I have hep c and was planning to treat with interferon and ribavirin, and with the new PI telaprevir or boceprevir - as soon as either one is available.
Does anyone know if there will be any added issues that I should be aware of when getting the hep c treatment while on hormone therapy?
Thanks.

I have no experience with breast cancer, but I know there are a few that do on this forum, so I'll respond to move your post to the top so maybe they will see it.

I am sorry for your diagnosis, and I hope your treatments go well.

Thank you for your replies and good wishes. Yes,  I will speak to my doctors.  But sometimes it is helpful to hear from someone who may have been through the same situation, so that is why I put it out there.  Hopefully there will be no added complications.

Sorry to hear about the breast cancer diagnosis, but it sounds like it was caught early, which is a very good thing.

I can't add anything to what Trinity wrote, other than sending best wishes for a smooth and no-issue radiation treatment.  Hang in there.

Sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis and I hope your treatment for the breast cancer goes well.

It would be in your best interest to discuss your concerns with a hepatologist.  A liver specialist will be able to tell you how long you should wait to treat for hepc after the radiation and if the hormone therapy drugs would have any adverse effect while undergoing antiviral therapy.

Wish you the best,
Trinity
