Well I am officially done with tx. Yee Ha!!  No more forcing myself to eat in the am. Never have been a breakfast person. Now if this rash will only leave me I will be so grateful. I am Geno 2 so I hope that the stats go in my favor. I don't know if I can do it again. My question is this. Why are the monthly labs so important post tx. for 6 months. my labs have never got into the danger zone.  Can anyone tell me why it is necessary to do monthly labs. I am paying for Cobra insurance and it is 407 a month. I would like to be able to stop it soon.  Maybe just check every 3rd month or something. I just did the post tx. viral load yesterday. Got my fingers and toes crossed.  Oh yeah, when can my husband expect his girl to not be such a ***** on a daily basis? Ha Ha. No, seriously I am.

OUTSTANDING!

It takes lots of courage to hold on till the end.  The result will hopefully be "In remission, no relapse!"

Glad you are done! What a relief, eh? The lab work is to make sure everything comes back up to normal. The big ones are the PCRs. I think if you are UND at 12 weeks post TX, it's a 98% chance you will still be UND at 6 months. Of course, UND at 6 months means you are not just done, but cured! Best wishes.

P.S. Don't be superstitious, it brings you bad luck!  ;-)

Yay for you!!! Congratulations on finishing tx.

I'm 9 days post EOT and loving life.  I probably should have upped my Zoloft towards the end, but I was enjoying my new inner biotch-ness, lol!

I am guessing that will subside as you start to get more energy and feel better.  For me, after going thru 48 weeks of tx fun, I find the little things don't bug me so much, so I am more laid back than before(....except for the lab result anxiety that will probably last forever.)

You should start to feel better soon.  Like Tippy, I improved rapidly.  I am still trying to take it somewhat easy so I don't wear myself out too much.  But today I walked 3.5 miles...and it felt GOOD!!!

As far as labs go...ya just want to make sure you get your PCR's done.  I think most do 4, 12 and 24 weeks post.  The 6 month one is the most important because after that we are considered cured, I believe.

Good luck to you!!!

Yeah your done!  I'm done almost two weeks and I feel a significant difference.  My mood has done a 180 and no longer cranky.  Been laughing , smiling a lot.  I think part of it is just being happy its over, and the other part is the drugs are leaving.  No more sx though, and those stopped within a few days of stopping.  Although, I do have thyroid issues but that will be worked out.  The energy is returning slowly, but its coming.  A little bit more each day.

I try not to push myself because I notice when I do I don't feel so great the next day.  Take it easy for a while and don't over do it.  I call it crash and burn when I do.

Was pretty unsocial on tx but even that has changed and being around people no longer aggravates the hell out of me.  Have some barbecues planned this weekend.

You should feel better within a week and notice a difference.  Keep us posted.

My thyroid has not changed. Been on synthroid for yrs for it.  Anyway about the " *****" part. Will I ever be less of a ***** than I have been?  I used to be pretty laid back but I will tell ya I have been pretty agressive towards people. I like to think of it as not taking any **** from people.

Well congratulations that IS awesome news!!!!!!

Sorry about the insurance though but at least you are done now thank God!

The labs are important so you can known if/when you relapse and I can't really think of anything except thyroid or hemo that might be important really if you had issues with either of them. I just wanted to go to continue getting UNDs = at 6 months you will be considered SVR.

You know I guess really it wouldn't matter IF (you won't so shhhh let's not jinx it!) you relapsed which month it was in, 4 weeks or 4 months - but it's hard not to want to get those UNDs all coming in in a row.
