Confused need help

I originally posted this question in the HIV forum but, as my symptoms continue to develop and as I educate myself further with the help of forum participants I find myself believing that my current condition is hep-c. My situation is as follows, I am a 40 y/o man & had unprotected oral and protected anal with another man. The very next day I developed a sore throat with white spots, mouth rash, extreme fatigue, body pains no fever. It has now been 6 weeks and the fatigue and throat continue as well as pains. 2-3 week test for hepc was neg. Scheduled for another. Please share your thoughts. I apologize if this isn't the correct forum to ask questions.

Oral sex with the partner, who has Gonorrhea, can cause gonococcal pharyngitis (throat gonorrhea). Little to no risk for HCV. Try the STD Forum

First, No virus can affect you (cause symptoms) within 24 hours in the US that I have ever heard of. Even bacteria takes time to grow. You probably had some thing before and didn't notice it until then.

Secondly, hepatitis C infects through blood to blood transmission. Unlike HIV. And so many STDs. So unless his penis was bleeding and you had a cut in your month the chances of being infected by hepatitis C is extremely low.

Go to your doctor (GP, PCP) it is their job to diagnose such things and provide treatment. Why wait 6 weeks speculating about HCV or HIV? Educate yourself about how STDs are spread and what the symptoms are.

Remember, by having unsafe sex you are exposing yourself and EVERYONE ELSE that you have sex with to your worst fears. You should learn more about what diseases you can get by being unprotected. I hope this incident makes you think about practicing safe sex like all responsible adults should.
