You may try posting a comment titled ginger root capsules. These folks are a wealth of info....
Oh...That is fabulous news....I guess I will see when I start the meds. Thank you for your post
You don't need to quit coffee. In fact research shows drinking coffee can help obtain SVR with tx, though that was for SOC.
I was wondering about Ginger Root capsules, like in the vitamin supp department of health food & drug stores......Can this be used??
Great to hear about your minimal nausea effects. I easily gave up my evening cocktail but coffee would be rough. But, gotta do what you gotta do. Thank you very much for your post.
Thank you so much. So grateful for all of the ginger posts.
Okay. I purchased 5 pounds of it. OH MY!!! A little OCD on ginger huh? HA... I really like it in my normal state...
I thank you a thousand times for your input. I truly appreciate you!
Ginger tea worked for me but I had very little nausea. Coffee still does not taste right, metal tasting which started at the beginning of treatment.
Ginger tea, raw ginger, and ginger candy all seem to help nausea. There is also a prescription medication that the doctor can write for you if nausea becomes a problem.

My mouth was so sore after a few months that I couldn't deal with ginger. It set my mouth on fire. But so did toothpaste. ;)
But for nausea, I really like it.
Hi again! Ginger has always helped me with nausea and I thought I would use it a lot during tx. I like to drink ginger tea, and sometimes mix it with a bit of juice for flavoring. But while on tx the ginger tea was too strong for me. Suddenly it did not appeal. (Couldn't drink my coffee either!)
Crystallized ginger is a nice form of ginger but you may want to be sure you rinse your mouth really well after it because of the sugar. My gums were inflamed for a lot of my tx and I had to get teeth cleaned even more often than usual, which for me is every 3-4 months, also brushing and flossing even more than usual. This all cleared up in the months after tx and gums returned to normal.
Another good source is Gin-Gins, sold in health food stores and online (The Ginger People). They are ginger lozenges and I like those a lot. They're sweetened but not as sweet as crystallized ginger.
