DONE!

by pln, Jan 15, 2007 12:00AM
Hi, Just wanted to let every one know I am done, I did my last Riba last night at 9pm. I will have PCR'S every 2 weeks untill week 12, then 24, 36,& 48 weeks. That is only if I stay UND. Being in group C (24 WEEKS) vertex will give me SOC if I relaspe. I don't know let if I will take them up on that offer. I am SOOOO glad to be done, but I am still a little nerves. But becoming UND at day 4 helps alot. I will post all my upcoming lab. I hope one day vx-950 will help us all. Pam

Way to go pam, it's been a long haul huh?? ;-) I'd feel good about where you are: really low starting VL of 78,000, UND at day 4 and remaining so all the way to this point with a full course of VX? I'd say you've squashed the darned thing, congrats!!

You and the other VX folks went into uncharted territory and kicked booty!!  To read about your progress these past months has been and will continue to be a glimpse of true hope for so many of us.  Congrats on the last shot, took me about a week for INF to go away, one day I realized that I finally felt really really good!  Hope it comes as quick for you!!

You all shoulder the burden of trying the new meds, plus being our "rays of hope" so well, be proud of yourself.  How often in life will you get the chance to make such a difference in the daily lives of so many people?  Because I know what you all post makes a difference in mine and I appreciate more than you could ever know.  So add that to your reasons to "happy dance" and congrats again!

PLN that is great!   I have to say it again - I think I just heard someone say the word "CURE" (probably at least 10 times) on the JP Morgan Annual Health Conference with uh.... what's his name - oh yeah - the CEO of Vertex, Boger :) Wishing you and all those in PROVE1 and those who will be in upcoming PROVE2and3 (or whatever it will be)  the best!  The very best.

Congratulations, Pam. It certainly feels good to stop the dosing. right? Its been just a week for me, but I'm already feeling better. A long way short of 100%, but a whole lot better than 2 weeks ago. Weird thing is that the rash looks like its coming back a little. Nothing serious, but a nuisance. Need to get the Lidex going again.

SVR, here we come!!
