Daylight Saving: ok to move pills/ shots by 1 hr?

by lalapple, Nov 02, 2008 09:10PM
Time change an hour early today.  Just wanted to know if ok to shift my pill times by an hour?  before, i had my riba at 8am and 8pm.  since time change, 8am from before equals 7am now.  7 isn't good for me cause i have to go to school and don't want to bring pills with  me to school and take it in class.  so i guess my question is, is it ok to take my pills/ shots still at 8 even after time changed by 1 hr?  permanently?

actually, does it really matter what exact times you take your pills/ shots as long as the pills are 8-10 hrs apart and shots on the same day every week?

thanks

I agree with Trinity. One hour is not going to make much difference. The important point is to stick to your overall schedule and not miss taking your pills one day.

Once the riba has built up in your body you could actually take all the riba at once per day. Of course I'm not suggesting this and you want to stick with as close to 8 hrs apart. just trying to give an example on how it is not as critical to taking at exact times as it is with the new drugs in trial. Like Trin said the half life is much longer in Riba & peg
