Hi

Hep c today is a very treatable infection. Your treatment depending on your genotype could be as simple as 1 pill a day for as few as 8 weeks and you would've curedif the virus.

The new medicines approved just a few years ago are very effective boasting 98% or better cure rates. Most people report few to no side effects the most common being occasional mild headaches.

Treatment today is short term, highly effective and well tolerated.

Please see your doctor and get evaluated so you can cure your hep c and put this behind you.

Was this only a antibody test or were you tested for the hep c virus itself with the HCV RNA by PCR test? If it was only an antibody test you may only have been exposed at some time in the past but may not be currently infected. About 25% of people are able to beat the virus without any treatment. They will always test positive for antibodies to the hep c virus but antibodies are not the virus they are made by your own body when it tries to fight off the hep c virus.

See your doctor, get treated and get cured. Then go on living your life.

Best wishes to you.

Please let us know how you are doing we care.

Hello there! I'm sorry you are feeling down. I myself was cured 5 years ago and am well.
The newer treatments are much shorter and not many side effects from what I have heard.
Can you give me any more information?
I know that others will be by soon to help out.
I just wanted you to know, you are not alone. There are people here more than willing to help with anything you need.
Can you tell me your geno type?
I could then tell you what type of medication you would need. Perhaps find the phone number of people who can help
I will keep checking back on you
Hang in there!
