Do you know when your hair will stop falling out?

Do you know when your hair will stop falling out?

I am treating and my hair has been falling out more every day.
I was just wondering, for those who finished treatment,  how long after you stopped treatment did you notice that your hair stopped falling out?  (It’s a nuisance, but at least it comes back – right?).
Thanks....ginger

Mine stopped soon after ending treatment, though mine never got as thick as it once was but being a guy i guess was the reason.

Bill borrowed my blonde wigs from treatment. Don't worry, it's just the peroxide running into his head. Really. ;)

Actually I don"t know the answer to that ..I only lost a little the short time I was on tx. and it came back very quickly.

I'm on SOC for 48 weeks and noticed the hair thinning and straightening more during the first 6 months.  After that period I haven't noticed much difference.  I hope it doesn't turn blonde, although I hear they have more fun.  ;-)

I lost at least 80% while on tx. My hepatologist said it was one of the worst cases he has seen my eye lashes never grew back but my hair did..It came back few weeks after I stopped. Felt good to have hair again.
Good luck

It's a crazy side effect. I use a hair catcher to wash now to avoid plumbing problems. I wash every 3 days n wear my wig a lot.
After washing now (week 31), some new growth is starting n sticks straight up! I look like Thing 1  from the Dr Suess books! Haha! It's a surprised look I'm wearing. Karen :)

Hi I am noticing new growth while still on tx so I would guess, depending on your hair that you could start to see new growth at any time though I was told it would take a few months.
I will be happy when my hair stops falling out even happier when I SVR.
Lie Karen I have hair sticking straight up, it gives one hope to see the new hair.
Good luck to you

Hi Ginger - I lost most of my hair, probably 60%, the last week of tx and for two months after.
ine partially could have been from thyroid issues but at 6 mos post tx, my full head of hair is baaaaaaaaaaaaack and better than ever, albeit not so curly : (  Meanwhile, I used very gentle shampoo and slept with conditioner in my hair.

If you continue to have issues, I would suggest getting a thyroid check which you probably should do anyway.

Best of luck
