Doctor say I can continue

At twelve weeks I now have a viral load of 1,880.  I was hoping to have been undectable by now but the doctor says I can continue.

I was UND at 25 weeks. Like you, I had a >2Log drop at 12 weeks. The main thing is that the rate continues and that you achieve UND before 24 weeks. There is a small study that suggests that even those who do not become UND until after 24 weeks may still benefit from treatment if the treatment period is extended.

Daniel - I wasn't undetectable until somewhere between week 14 and week 20 in a 24 week TX.

I didn't know you were supposed to be  ---- so it's probably a good thing! LOL!

You got more than the 2 log drop and glad to see that but you are considered a slow responder like myself.  You have to clear by 24 wks or chances for SVR are less than 2 percent with 48 wks and most people are pulled off of treatment.  Has your doctor discussed extending treatment to 72 wks?
